Auditions for Ganesha FilmWork’s Diary of a Mad Scientist’s Assistant by Angie Johnson-Schmit, Andrew Johnson-Schmit and Christian H. Smith will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and Sunday, April 13, 2014 from 1pm to 5pm.
Video auditions will be accepted on these same dates, for those unable to attend. All auditioning actors will be asked to read from the script. The script will be provided when auditioning actors reserve their slot or request a video audition.
Auditions will be held at the Bulleri Building, 122 N Cortez Street, Prescott, AZ. Auditioners are requested to come 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork.
Roles are available for two female actors, Shirley/Connie Graves and their mother:
Shirley/Connie Graves – twin spunky young scientists in their 20’s or 30’s, any race. The actress will play both parts with some green screen interaction with herself. Shirley is a shy young woman who is trying to break into the dating scene. Connie is a slightly more sophisticated young woman. Both are assistants to established mad scientists. The roles call for verbal and physical comedic acting.
Mom– a loud, brash woman in her 50’s. Domineering mother of Shirley and Connie Graves. This is a voice acting part.
Ganesha FIlmWorks has represented the Prescott, Arizona filmmaking community at film festivals in three states. You can learn more about their previous movie, “Dead Votes Society” at http://deadvotessociety.com/
Diary of a Mad Scientist’s Assistant is their first web series and, as far as we know, will be the first web series to be shot entirely in Northern Arizona.
